Abstract The article analyzes the powers of the prosecutor regarding the organization of activities on detection of criminal offenses established by the controlling bodies and ensuring their inclusion in the Uniform Register of Pre-trial Investigations (by the example of criminal offenses against the environment), it is considered the issues of the timely start of pre-trial investigation on the basis of materials of the controlling and other bodies.
The authors emphasize the need for detailed legal regulation of the prosecutor’s right to investigate materials in the controlling and other bodies that could testify about the commission of criminal offenses in order to ensure that all perpetrators were brought to justice.
